ILUG is proud to announce "Distro Wars". As numbers are limited for some
of the events, we would ask all people who are interested in attending
any of the events listed below to inform us via the listed e-mail address,
and please include details of any friends you intend to bring along..
Events are separate and non-inclusive so you can participate in any number
of events you wish, except where two events overlap.
Current events:
"Pissup in a brewery"
An evening sampling/drinking the delights of Dublin's (newest) brewery. This
will take place Saturday evening on the premises of the Dublin Brewing
Company, in Smithfield. Email address: dbc at linux.ie
"Distro Wars"
A morning of high spirits, as the Debian folks gang up with the User Hostile
Slackware fans against the atrocities of the RPM based distributions. Or maybe
the GNU/Emacs people will pick on the VIM guys. Who knows?
Food is provided (lunch/breakfast). Please note there is an age limit of 18 for this.
Taking place at Crossfire, Killegar Forest, Kilternan on Sunday.
Email address: paintball at linux.ie
"All hail the supreme Number"
Alan Cox makes another one of his (getting more) regular visits to Ireland.
And this time, he's going to talk. Saturday.
"Birds of a Feather"
Talk to your peers about something that entertains you. Listen to them wax
lyrical about Makefiles, compilers, and licensing. Saturday.
If there are any questions, direct them at me
(liam at linux.ie) or the committee (committee at linux.ie)
Regards
L.
