Hi,
I'm just after installing Mandrake 8.1, and evwerything seems to be bugger
slow!?
You click ont he little konqueror icon in the corner of KDE and it takes a
few seconds to come up on the screen. And while you are twiddlign your
thumbs, there is no noise of hard disc activity or anything - just takes a
few seconds to come up.
Surely it should come up faster on a P3 450 with 192mb of RAM?
ALso - my DVD and CDRW drives arent recognised (at least you cant read from
them) - but work when you take the CDRW off. Its a LG 8 speed one.
Someone made a major mistake mentioning Linux to me!
ANy ideas?
