[ILUG] SSH on Windows

[ILUG] SSH on Windows

Smith, Graham - Computing Technician Graham.Smith at it-tallaght.ie
Tue Sep 4 16:15:47 IST 2001

I was trying this last week. Cygwin is pretty good but the whole thing feels
like
a kludge. I'd much prefer a proper port of sshd binary than running it
through
some emulation type package.

I was trying to run vnc from a linux client to a windows server through an
ssh tunnel
for improved security. I never got it working because cygwin installed the
ssh client
but no ssh daemon was included which wasnt exactly useful.

G.
