[ILUG] SuSE 7.2 iso images for download?

[ILUG] SuSE 7.2 iso images for download?

begin cmcclean at eircom.net quotation:

[SuSE "evaluation" series:]

> It may be policy not to release iso images for PCs.

(By "PCs", I assume you mean IA32.) No, that's not correct. SuSE's
policy is to create and offer "evaluation" versions for _all_ supported
architectures, whose ISO9660 images may be freely distributed but not
offered for sale -- but usually not for the current release.

Your problem is that you want specifically SuSE _7.2_ for IA32. That
version is so far available _only_ as a not-freely-distributable,
multi-CD boxed set. Single-CD "evaluation" images for IA32 exist only
through v. 7.0. So, your options are: (1) use 7.0 evaluation, (2) save
up for a boxed set, (3) wait for 7.2 evaluation, or (4) try a different
distribution.
