Anything I've read just said that the plane was "capable of carrying 100
people". That's more giving an indication of the size of the plane and
the damage it can do rather than saying that's how many people were on
it. It's quite possible that the planes were empty when they were taken.
An attack like this doesn't use hostages so what's the point in taking
any?
