[ILUG] Newby XFree86 4.0.3 Config. Trouble

Hello, I have just installed a copy of Mandrake 8.0 onto my K6-2 500 based
PC with a TNT2 M64 graphics card w/t 32Megs of vram.
Knowing that linux is supported by Nvidia I downloaded the reference drivers
(a Kernel rpm and a GLX rpm) I installed these from the desktop using the
Graphical RPMINSt thingy, and modyfied the XF86Config-4 file so the drvier
line read "nvidia" not "nv", and logged out of KDE and restarted, but the X
server thing isnt loading properly now, it just quits saying that the
Nvidia_Kernel is not correctly intalled. Does any of you lovely folks happen
to know why someone who pretty much followed the Nvidia readme file to the
letter cannot make his system work in accelarted mode? or what he did wrong?
Any help really would be very much appreciated.
PS, other than the fact that he looks like he is wearing a TUXedo, why is
tux called tux??
Daniel
