Hi,

Ar an 24u la de mi 9, scriobh Juan Jose Rincon Bayon :

 > Anyone know where can i get the font tahoma and EANa for Solaris 6

You can pull them off a windows box--C:\Windows\Fonts\ or
C:\winnt\fonts if I remember correctly.[1] The Solaris 6 X server
supports TrueType fonts. Put them in a directory local to the server,
make a scaling catalogue in fonts.scale (in that directory) something
like this;

32
tahomabd.ttf -microsoft-tahoma-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-ascii-0
tahomabd.ttf -microsoft-tahoma-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-ascii-0
tahomabd.ttf -microsoft-tahoma-bold-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-fcd8859-15
[...]
tahoma.ttf -microsoft-tahoma-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-8
tahoma.ttf -microsoft-tahoma-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-9

(Add similar entries for the other fonts, and the number on the first
line should be the number of lines below it.)

Then, run mkfontdir in that directory. You should have a file named
fonts.dir there, identical to fonts.scale. Next; run xset +fp `pwd` in
that directory. Add this line to your X startup scripts if you want to
preserve it accross X sessions.

[1] Legally, it would probably be better to get them from a copy of
Windows that came with a PC on which you don't use it.
