You should be able to do this through either linuxconf or more
specifically netconf. Disable the thing first, change the current settings.
Remove the old DNS altogether, don't leave it in the queue, then accept the
changes. Activate the changes and Quit. Is your laptop acting as a DNS
server itself, do you have named running ?

Hey,
I'm having a bit of a problem with RH6.0 (yes I know how old it is!!).
Basically, I used linuxconf to set up a nameserver but now I have to
change it. Sounds easy except that everytime I reboot the laptop the
old nameserver is back. Anyone know how to solve this? Is there a
config file I should edit by hand (grepping through /etc/ for the ip
of the nameserver didn't yield anything)?
