[ILUG] The Register and Eircom ADSL

Wynne, Conor Conor.Wynne at compaq.com

I read also on the register yesterday that it is being delayed by the ODTR
coz they reckon eircom are a shower of bastards and charging too much.

They want proof that the charges are valid.

Will be properly released in three weeks or so the article goes when the
revised prices have been made.

Later,
CW

-------------------------------------------
I happened to surf on over to The Register to have a look at its very brief
review of Mandrake 8.1 (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/21899.html)
and for some reason, I had temporarily turned off junkbuster so I got a
banner ad at the bottom of the page - from Eircom for ADSL, no less. Some
shite along the lines of "Turn your mouse into a supermouse" - provided said
mouse doesn't object to paying 80 quid a month for 1k/sec download rate - ah
well, at least you won't hit the cap :-)
