[ILUG] vim stuff

[ILUG] vim stuff

this is starting to become useful to me...

I'm always editing files that I haven't checked out yet (in perforce, it removes write access to stop you doing this). So, I need to check it out.

p4 edit <filename>

is the command that does the job. I know there's some way of setting up a macro or command or something to do this for me, but having wandered through the documentation, I can't find the magic
$1 or whatver variable, which contains the name of the file being edited.

Any vimish guru's left?

L.
