A handy way of getting files onto the hard disk is to connect it to a
desktop machine. I got an adaptor from IT Direct a couple of months back
for about a tenner. It has a female 40 pin ide connector on one end and a
44 pin female connector to go onto the laptop drive. Oh yeah, there's a
power connector also.

I stuck a 40 pin male connector on the ribbon to allow it to be plugged
into a hard drive cable instead of the ide connector on the mother board.
