Oh, you can be sure I'll be careful Fergal -- a Google for the error message
turned up me whining about the exact same one a while back.

Here's a better question: Is it possible to find out what bootloader it
loaded into the MBR /now/? If so, and it's grub, can I just uninstall lilo
and be damned with it?
