Subject: [ILUG] Samba--smbclient will, smbmount won't
I'm trying to smbmount a remote NT share without success, though I
can access it with smbclient:
## smbclient version: #############################################
[brendan]$ smbclient "\\\\ntmachine\\ITD32" -WSTAFF -I123.456.789.123 -Uhalpin
added interface ip=123.201.147.134 bcast=123.201.255.255 nmask=255.255.0.0
Client started (version 2.0.10).
Connecting to 123.456.789.123 at port 139
session request ok
Password:
Domain=[STAFF] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]
session setup ok
tconx ok
smb: \> quit
###################################################################
## smbmount version: ##############################################
[brendan]$ smbmount "\\\\ntmachine\\ITD32" /mnt/ntmachine/ -o ip=123.456.789.123 workgroup=STAFF username=halpin
Password:
session setup failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.)
SMB connection failed
###################################################################
Any ideas, explanations?
Brendan
