btw, i asked on irc, but not here.  my big question is, does anyone know
of a european satellite service that allows you to hook up your satellite
equipment to a linux box instead of a windows box.

the latency thing is
one issue, but damned if i'm going to beat myself over the head trying
to keep a windows box up and running.  i'd be lucky to figure out how
to make a windows box do ethernet networking nevermind securing it or
other types of networking.

It looks like Digiweb has something that might work, in their more expensive
