[ILUG] "mount -O" on rh73.... standard?

Hi all,
   Is this -O option to mount a red-hattism? I build util-linux (11n) and the
boot sequence blew up, and I discovered this -O option used in the startup
scripts, also documented in the man page (though not described as a Red Hat
extension), but not supported by the version I had just built from source.

Anybody?
Ronan
