if i was really curious about this, i'd download the src rpm, install it,
and look for patches.  since rpm is designed to have "pristine sources"
you should easily see if redhat applied a patch.  the few packages i've
looked at had well named patch files, so it should be easy to spot if
one of the patches provides this functionality.

but i'm not curious so i'll leave you to it.  :)
