PS it really is such a good idea... it's saved my skin a few times
when I've been miles away from my backup tapes, and managed to
be a bit overenthusiastic with cleaning a source tree... you can
do
strings /kernel | grep ___ | sed 's/^___//'
on (duck) FreeBSD to get similar stuff... if you've added
options INCLUDE_CONFIG_FILE
to your original kernel config.
