As far as I remember, Educom are just reselling the Hughes service or
some other service. As regards increasing bandwidth, it is just a case
of buying more transponder space rather than launching a new bird. I
think the costs are on the Astra site and work out at about e700K for a
big pipe. Where most of the satellite ISPs fail is on the terrestrial
internet connection. The best example of this kind of fscked up service
at the moment seems to be the Europeonline service - these guys seem to
make Eircom look competent.
