I don't suppose you could dumb it down a shade (Newbie alert) I know nowt
about NAT ;-)
Unfortunately the web sever is running IIS [shudder] and I can't change that
right now.
What I am looking for is how to set up such rules. i.e. What config file and
what to use to say 'anything coming onto eth1 on port 80 send out of eth0 to
[ip_address] port 80'

ok, you're fine.
You could nat your webserver, meaning assigning a dns entry outside called
by example : mywebserver.iptest.com then nat it to your internal dns entry :
mywebserver.internal.iptest.com
If i recall, smoothwall uses kernel 2.2 which i don't use anymore but 2.4
kernels with iptables do that brillantly.
