[ILUG] Dynamic WINS resolution in SAMBA

[ILUG] Dynamic WINS resolution in SAMBA

Marek Mc Gann marek at dbs.edu

Howdy All,

NT network at work just overhauled, and have switched static wins resolution
to resolution by dhcp. My samba configuration has just become out of date
and threatens to remain permanently so (I'm running Mandrake 8.1 on my
laptop).

I can find old items on the web for plans to introduce dhcp wins resolution
into samba as far back as 2000, but can't find how to set it up, or if it
has actually been implemented.

Any suggestions or pointers greatly appreciated.

Marek.
