[ILUG] foiling the email bots

[ILUG] foiling the email bots

Philip Trickett phil at techworks.ie
Fri Feb 15 10:53:58 GMT 2002

How about putting a postfix on the email address, something like:
bob+ilug at irish.ie
which would then for people with standard email, would come up with an
error on the address for people harvesting the addresses, and for people
who receive all email to their domain, it would pinpoint which companies
are harvesting the email addresses from the web page.

Would anything like this have a chance of working?

Phil
