hm, i think it's more an issue with the wireless card i'm using which i
did *not* get from vbnets.  it's a linksys and both drivers are, well,
annoying.  one is a standard driver with pcmcia-cs but isn't developed
for the linksys cards (though it will work mostly with them - wvlan),
the other is developed for it but used an atrocious snmp style setup to
configure it.  it also uses it's own tools to configure it as opposed
to the iw* tools that other cards use.
