I thought everyone knew that Starfleet Toilet Technology is a mere extension
of their Transporter technology?
They use a warped (in the shape of the crewmenber's rectum or bladder as
appropriate) annular confinement beam to encapsulate the target matter and
simply re-route it to the replicator system, which is also an extension of
Transporter Technology.
Sure beats the plastic bags and sticky tape used in the earlier space
flights.

The floor plans quite clearly showed toilets on the bridge accessed through
a door to the right of the viewing screen.
Never saw anyone use them....also never noticed evidence of embarrassing
noises/smells effecting operations on the bridge, so truly their technology
must be VERY advanced.
