I'm making some progress sorting out the only bloatware (KDE) on my new X-4.2
installation. Everything else runs just dandy.
FYI, the key to it was to run <kcmshell fonts>, and select bigger sizes. I
found this by getting into the working version of kde that I have (in the
most broken X installation ever). Now everything is set on 64 points and
coming out around 8 or 10 points :-/. Oh, while I'm moaning, kcontrol is
broken as well
Something sad and lamentable is wrong. Has anyone a breeze how this is
controlled in kde, or where I could find out? The docs I came across were
short on specifics ('Run this' instead of 'this config file'). The other
windomanager I normally use (icewm) is fine - 12 point fonts come out when
you select 12 point fonts. Gnome is OK too - just kde is funny.
