I don't think you can, easily. Might be possible to hack around with whatever's
in the XTerm app-defaults file to select the text and copy it to a cut
buffer where stuff like xprop can get at it.
Actually, it'd probably be a neat hack, if it's possible... can't say I can
find useful entries in the Control Sequence doco, though.
You could always switch on logging and grep that.
