Yeah, the mask wire on Trinitrons can be annoying if you see them.
Fortunately I don't. IT Direct sell CTX monitors, which use good
electronics, and Sony Tubes (I have the PR711F, which I really love, and it
has a built in USB hub too).

Whats the story with these mask wires? There are two on my monitor about 3
inchs fromt he top and bottom. What is their purpose? Can I make them go
away?
