[ILUG] ATI & AGPGart

[ILUG] ATI & AGPGart

Hello All,

Following my painful process in getting a fully running linux laptop, i
debugged XFree yesterday and noticed that it said that AGPGart wasn't
enabled at all.

Kernel has got the AGPGart option + DRI drivers for ATI Radeon but it
comes with a message saying :

AGPGART: 491M Free
AGPGART: No secondary device found

If anyone knows how to fix that, i'd be glad. I'm using slackware 8.0
with XFree 4.1.99 (CVS) + Gatos ATI.2 Drivers precompiled for it (using
the radeon driver instead or ATI one). Basically the aim is to run 3D
stuff and at the moment, it's crap. Got a 250.55fps in glxgears which
comes as a shock considering the ATI Radeon on the laptop is a 16MB one
which performs well under windows.
