I can pretty much remember what I did, for a RH 7.2 system:
- install "rp-pppoe" RPM, that's the Roaring Penguin stuff. it
comes on the RH72 CD, handily enough.
- run their NON-GUI setup tool, the GUI one is broken! Obviously
you need your username and password. This'll set up your
chap-secrets etc.
- run "adsl-start" as root and you should be laughing.
