[ILUG] Tip of the Day: rsync - anything similar?

[ILUG] Tip of the Day: rsync - anything similar?

This might be useful to someone again:

I was in a situation last night where I discovered two CD images I had
downloaded from a Linux server when i had a high speed connection were
corrupt...now I had only a modem connection through AOL as it happens so I
couldn't use Linux unless I NAT'ed it through vmware in Windows. Cygwin + ssh
+ rsync corrected the files in 10 minutes over my modem link as opposed to
the 60+ hours it would have taken to download them again!

Anybody come across any similar programs for Linux/Windows?

Ross
