What's wrong with /dev/cdrom being linkes to cdroms/cdrom0? That's
the correct path for the first CDROM device in the system.
Of course, if it's linked to /cdroms/cdrom0 (with a leading slash),
that's wrong - look in /etc/devfs/* to fix and restart devfsd.
