hi
having a problem with two isa intel pro 10 cards.
i have installed redhat 7.2 and installed this network card. i used the
eepro.o module t get it to work using either
insmod eepro io=0x300 irq=10
or insmod eepro autodetect=1
the problem i am having is that network access is slow an then i cuts
out,its like the network card/s stop working.
using ifconfig to see if an ip address was assigned. yep
then l did lsmod
i get eepro [1] so the card is being used.
Ftping to the box:
First time around trying to ftp to the box i can but if i try to tranfer
any file i lockup
so i disconnect and try again but this time i cannot even connect to the box
the only solution was to use
/etc/init.d/network restart
and give this
eth0 stopped [ok]
lo running [ok]
eth0 runnig [ok]

has any one suffered a simmilar faith.
only weird thing is that the cards work fine under FreeBSD
Open to suggestion!
Nils
