kinda, no rules, default policy is ACCEPT on in/out/fwd

Hmmmmm, route looks ok means I'm probably fishing in the wrong place then...
Brian also mentioned resolv.conf, but I'm trying to ping IPs and not domain
names so this doesnt come into it does it?
.. anyone any other hints?
