[ILUG] Debian and new kernel

Thanks Colm and Gavin.

I didn't know about the "Debian Way" but now feel enlightened. I will give it a try later and be back if I cock up.

One thing first though - Colm you mentioned that dpkg will rename the symlink /vmlinuz to /vmlinuz.old. Does this mean that if for some reason my new kernel is not bootable I won't be able to fall back on my old one easily? Or am I missing the point?

Fergal..
