LILO can be odd about there being fewer or more IDE drives than there were
when it was installed. If it's your intention to run this box with no CD
then make a boot floppy (dd if=whereever_kernel_is of=/dev/fd0 bs=100k;rdev
/dev/fd0 /dev/root_device), boot from the floppy and rerun LILO and you
should be sorted until you put the CD back in :-)
