You've missed the point of my question. When I first tried to mount the DVD,
mount /dev/cdrom2 /cdrom2
Worked fine and mounted the DVD as iso9660 and I was able to then see the
contents of the DVD fine. I just need to work out how to configure ogle to
play nicely with it. While I was playing around with it, I started getting
these I/O errors in dmesg. After umounting the DVD I then could NOT mount it
again.
I don't think the absense of the udf file system module is relivant here.
It's not available for my 2.2.18 kernel anyway and several people have said
that ogle can get past this anyway.
I suspect the problem might be related to my CD-RW, as I've also seen these
errors before I installed the DVD and they are both on the same ide interface.
I still need to configure the proper links for the DVD that ogle expects, but
first I need to get to the bottom of these I/O errors.
