[ILUG] vcd's...

[ILUG] vcd's...

Every VCD in my collection uses CDFS which is slightly different from
ISO9660, which is where your problem may be. CDFS is an extension to ISO9660
that allows a media file to span multiple sessions in a multisession CD,
which is the way most VCD's are made anyway in order to support hardware VCD
and MP3 players.

Read errors can usually be gotten around (in my case) by moving the CD from
the notebook CD Rom drive, to the desktop DVD rom drive. One is cheap and
flimsy... other is expensive and robust. Same with my scratched audio CD's
that wont play in my discman, the DVD drive can handle them no probs, which
is handy for re-cutting an unscratched version! My guess is try different
hardware for the read error.
