Well support for syncing a Handspring Visor to Linux is done by serial over
USB. Works OK but I haven't managed to get Jpilot to play yet, and it was a
bastard to get going - on my box it was because I was using uhci instead of
usb-uhci - obvious, really :-) And it was equally obvious where you can
change this.
