Nice, but apparently that result was inconvienent.
My difficulty with the entire concept of the EU is that to me it seems as if
this Republic entered it under the pretences of 'equality' only to have a
treaty imposed upon us, in a completely undemocratic way. Par example the
last vote on Nice went against the treaty..... but it seems to be the case
that in the democratic EU when our larger 'European partners' snap their
fingers democracy can be prorouged until such time as democracy produces the
result desired, sort of like buying a ford model-T in every shade of black.
