As the person responsible for installing Linux onto the 2450's, I can
vouch for the bad backplane problem. Some could be sorted with a floppy,
downloaded from Dell, one took three days to be sorted by a Dell
engineer.
Obviously, only some were affected, but as Anders suggested, try before
you buy, other than that, they are great Linux servers.
