I have asked my boss to tell me some more. 
Apparently this guy says we have an open relay.... I'm assuming he means on
the nt box... but what I aint understanding is how exactly this will allow
him telnet or exploit chargen on either the Slackware Gateway/Firewall or on
the nt box.

My suspicions tell me this smells like a bit of a rat.
