Nah the company's entire reason for using Linux is that I could setup a box
to do firewalling,routing, mailserving,[insert something else I can troll
linux to do], on a rundown p120 w 80mb of ram and a udma hdd that has to be
run in pio mode because of the ide controller... as opposed to hardware
firewall/router from eircom 2000 quid... seperate dmz for email (n thousand
quid more).... and considering there will be at most 15-20 clients on the
internal Lan... a seperate box costing 2000 for hardware and another 1500
for mimetype filtering software 'which is what is being pitched' is absolute
nuttery... especially as the existing Linux box can probably be made to do
the same job but for 4000 quid less.
