I think everybody will be satisfied if the guidelines linked from

are followed. In particular, the links

I'm sure that as a former moderator you are quite familiar with the
ideas from these documents, but they might be worth going over again :)
[that probably goes for everybody every now and then]

The list is a public resource, something that uses donated machines
and bandwidth and is sent to over 800 people (any updates on that?)
so the guidelines in the previously-mentioned links are the sanest
way for our community to follow.
