[ILUG] Getting X working on UML?

Not to detract from the very interesting Celebrity DeathMatch currently 
happening:I've noticed that someone else has been playing with UML, I.E. User 
Mode Linux. They have even been using the same root_fs I started with. 
Unfortunately, I've hit a bit of a stumbling block, and was hoping for some 
help from the UML and Debian experts here.

I've expanded the small debian file system by adding a usr_fs, starting 
uml-linux to mount this as /usr. I've also sucessfully added a swap_fs and 
configured a network connection from the uml-linux to my own box. I've also 
upgraded it to Woody from a recent Linux Format DVD.

According to the doc's, once the network connection is running, it should be 
a simple matter of exporting DISPLAY=192.168.1.1:0 on usermode and running 
startx. I've tried everything I can think of to get this working;
I've ran xhost + on my box. 
I've tried editing /etc/xdm/Xaccess to allow *any to connect, even though I 
'think' this should only apply to xdm chooser?
But no matter what I try, I can not get X on the usermode box to connect to 
and use the X server on my box?

I know that Debian tends to be slightly more secure, Out-Of-Box than other 
distributions, but usermode can ftp and telnet to my box.

When I try to run X from usermode, I still get connection refused errors.

When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
Please report problems to submit at bugs.debian.org.

      after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

This happens regardless of running as a normal user or as root on usermode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
