Older Twinheads used to choke when the PCMCIA driver tried to autodetect 
things usually getting confused by the sound card. The trick was to force the 
soundcard irq (usually 5) to be ignored during PCMCIA autodetection. 

So the likely culprit is your soundcard confusing the PCMCIA setup (the slot, 
not any cards you may have inserted); disabling the PCMCIA autodetection 
should sort it temporarily; sorry but I don't know RedHat to help further. Is 
there a manual install where you can select which modules to look 
for/install?
