[ILUG] X on UML, the latest.

Well, after lots of help and suggestions, I finally got most of the bugs 
worked out and UML is running, to a degree.

1) gdm was running X with the -nolisten tcp option. Removing this allowed X 
to accept connections from UML. YEAH!
2) I fould out that I need to run Xnest from UML, not the host to allow other 
X clients to connect to it.
3) Getting the nfs module into UML has been unsuccessful, though I'm sure 
it's only my limitations.

So, here is what I have now.

I've a script to start UML with the ethertap thingy so it can connect to the 
host box. I'm also mounting seperate files for /usr and /var so I've enough 
room to install stuff on it.

When UML starts, it open two xterms for login, plus the login in the original 
Konsole. I log in as root on one and as a regular use in the other.

In the root login, I export DISPLAY=debian:0 and run Xnest :1 & to get a root 
X window on my display.

In the user login, I export DISPLAY=:1 and run startxfce. This loads XFCE 
into the nested X window.

Now I can play with XFCE on UML in it's own window. WOO HOO!

I've also been able to mount /usr/local/OpenOffice1.0 from the host. Then I 
just ran /usr/local/OpenOffice1.0/setup to install a workstation version of 
OpenOffice on the UML box. Now I can run OpenOffice within XFCE in the nested 
X window via the network connection the the host box. At least the Host is a 
dual PII 350, or this would really take forever to load.

Now I just want to figure out how to setup a few scripts to do most of this 
on boot so when I run ./umllinux, I just get the Xnest window with xfce 
running in it.
