[ILUG] Mailman problems(solved)

For those paying attention to this thread - thanks for all your
suggestions
First problem was that SuSE had set up mailman with a default domain of
somehost.suse.de - which could not resolve - hence all the spurious
fingering.

Once I got that sorted it turned out that I had a problem with the A
records in BIND.  I had loads of records for hostn.mydomain.com - but
had omitted the record for mydomain.com - thus mails to
test at mydomain.com had an unresolvable address.

It's all sorted now - thanks for listening..
