[ILUG] handspring visor with evolution ?

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has successfully setup their handspring visor
deluxe with ximiam evolution.
I am having some odd problems. The visor syncs fine with kpilot. When I use
evolution however and use the configure pilot option, it picks up the
username off the visor grand. However whenever I try to just do a sync via
the conduits with the address book etc, it doesn't work.

If I run gpilotd from the command line and do a hotsync, i get the message
"weird packet" and a timing out message. I increase the time out value to no
avail. Anyone got any ideas ?
