OK, I have a question about virii and linux. [since its being discussed]
In a linux only LAN / HAN is there any NEED for a virusscanner? Lots of
these mails are about mail scanners which presumably are for doze clients.
There was some virus released as a proof of concept there last year
sometime, but I believe that there still are not virii out there that can
infect a system successfully - unless you only startx in root ;-) Which
no-one does right?
But I really don't know as I'm not a virus expert by any means. All I know
about is update the bases every few days and scan regularly [on doze]
Ideas?

I abandoned amavis, and went for a nice easy setup using mailscanner with
sendmail 8.12.3
Works nicely, and worth a look. mailscanner.org will give you more info.
Good luck,
