Hi Mark, again,
yeah, would've been nice if I tested that last bit - it doesn't work :(
the following is tested, and works, but it's cumbersome - someone else
can definitley do better !
location="`grep '^OpenOffice\.org 1\.0\=file' ${HOME}/.sversionrc | sed -e 's/^\(OpenOffice\.org 1\.0\=file:\/\/\)\(.*\)/\2/g'`"
blah
-kev
> > the program location. OpenOffice puts the .sversionrc file in
> > the users home directory containing the following text:
>> > [Versions]
> >
> > OpenOffice.org 1.0=file:///home/sisob/OpenOffice.org1.0>> location="`sed -e 's/^OpenOffice\.org 1\.0=file:\/\/\(.*\)/\1/' $HOME/.sversionrc`"
>> sed ? Perl would look similar, or I'm sure it could be done (by someone
> else) with the bash ${%%} or ${##} thingies ...
