ah, you're right.  it's an x.25 network.  so confused.  it's 4am and i
just spent too many hours playing with video cards.

fun facts:

    xinerama is mindbogglingly simple to set up.  even i did it.  so if
    you have a spare monitor+video card, slap it in an available pci
    slot and fire off google for the xinerama howto.

    redhat 7.3 installs via nfs from iso images.  all you do
    is put the iso's in the same dir with their original names
    (valhalla-i386-disc1.iso ... valhalla-i386-disc3.iso), point the
    installer at that dir and it's rolling!
